Sunset Parkixe refers to a cluster of related Indigenous languages spoken by approximately 100,000 people in the eastern part of the state of Oaxaca. An undetermined but likely small number of Mixe speakers now live in the New York area, apparently coming from San Juan Juquila and speaking ëyuk, or Midland Mixe.
